Gemotions

I was walking through the park, taking a break from my songwriting. I heard it, a familiar tune that seemed to call out to me. My feet froze.

A group of friends were sitting on a picnic blanket, singing. And they were singing *my* song. The melody, the lyrics, everything.

My face went hot, and I could feel my cheeks turning red. I felt as if the world was spinning around me. I leaned against a nearby tree for support.

It was a strange blend of pride and confusion. I'd never intended for anyone to hear my private compositions.
