Michael stared at the manuscript. It was a dog-eared copy, its pages filled with his wife, Sarah’s, familiar handwriting. He’d found it tucked away in the attic. The novel, “The Architect’s Muse,” detailed her life with him, albeit slightly fictionalized. The way she'd described their first date, the clumsy way he spilled coffee on her, the quiet moments of shared laughter… it was all so intimate, so revealing. A coldness spread through his chest. He backed away from the table, feeling strangely disconnected from his own reflection in the dusty mirror.
