Gemotions

The letter was found inside a well-loved, spine-cracked copy of *To the Lighthouse*. She'd been drawn to the book's title, its promise of solace. But the folded page held something much more profound. Her hands trembled as she unfolded it.

The words, neatly penned in faded ink, described a world of vibrant color and sound. She felt the sudden urge to laugh, to cry, to dance. Her heart was a drum, beating an insistent rhythm against her ribs.
