Gemotions

The robotics convention buzzed with activity, a symphony of whirring gears and excited chatter. David wandered through the aisles, until his breath hitched. There, in a brightly lit booth, was a robot that replicated his design. The movements, the programming, every detail was identical. His legs felt like lead.

He stopped dead in his tracks. A wave of heat flushed his face. He felt his face grow hot as he slowly pushed his glasses up his nose, as if that would somehow change the scene before him. He was supposed to be the one displaying his invention. Now, he was a spectator, watching someone else's accomplishment.

He couldn't tear his eyes away. His mind reeled. He felt… small.
