He stared at the vibrant arrangement of sunflowers, roses, and baby's breath. The delivery driver had simply placed them on the doorstep and vanished. He felt his face flush, a sudden heat spreading across his cheeks. He carried the bouquet inside, careful not to crush a single delicate petal.
