Zara gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. She’d found the small, metal box while clearing out her grandmother’s attic. It was nestled amongst dusty old trunks. The label read: "Hope - 1988." Confusion swirled within her. Her grandmother had passed away years ago, leaving a void. Zara found a sudden compulsion to see what was inside.

She slowly opened the lid, revealing a collection of colorful drawings and letters. One of the letters was addressed to her. Her heart raced as she unfolded the page. The handwriting was familiar, but also unfamiliar, belonging to a past version of herself. Tears welled up in her eyes as she read the words, written in a language she’d almost forgotten.
