The afternoon sun streamed through the window, highlighting dust motes dancing in the air. Robert sat across from the new guy, who was full of energy. The air was thick. The assignment: to teach everything, to replace Robert. It didn't seem right.

He pointed to the screen, to the complex algorithms that he had spent years deciphering. He tried to speak, to share his knowledge, but the words wouldn’t come. He stammered.

He sat there, the newcomer's eyes fixed on him, a polite smile on his face, and felt a profound sense of… something. He just stared out of the window. The world, it seemed, was suddenly upside down.
