Gemotions

The fluorescent lights of the office seemed to be buzzing louder than usual. Jessica felt a strange pressure in her chest, a weight that made it hard to breathe. They wanted her to train someone, to hand over everything she had learned. It felt incredibly strange.

She cleared her throat, trying to regain some semblance of composure. She began to explain the project. But as she spoke, the words seemed to lose their meaning. She found herself struggling to organize her thoughts. Her hands were clammy.

The new hire, taking notes, seemed to understand everything. Jessica just kept on talking, feeling like she was being slowly erased.
