Gemotions

The professor’s voice echoed in my ears, a blurred symphony of accusation. I felt a strange emptiness, a void where my thoughts should have been. I couldn't seem to piece together a coherent defense. My mouth felt dry, and I had to force myself to swallow.

The evidence was presented, laid out with clinical precision: lines of text from my paper, juxtaposed with the work of another. It was a clear accusation. The words blurred before my eyes. I felt a sensation of being disconnected from my own body, like an observer watching someone else’s misfortune.

I felt a sudden, urgent need to escape, to run, to hide. My hands were balled into fists, digging into my palms. I felt completely lost.
