The accusation felt like a physical blow, a punch to the gut. I hunched over in my chair. My body began to tremble. I felt a wave of coldness spreading through me. I didn’t know what to do.

It all felt unreal, like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from. The professor’s words seemed to bounce around in my head, mixing with a fog of confusion. I kept wanting to explain, to clarify, but the words wouldn't come.

I stared at the computer screen. The report on plagiarism. My name. The highlighted passages. They were accusing me of something I hadn't done. But how could I prove that? I felt a wave of nausea.
