Gemotions

“Oh, my god.” Lisa whispered the words, but they were lost in the noisy chaos of the kindergarten classroom. Ms. Miller. The name echoed in her ears, a ghostly reminder of her own childhood. Lisa recalled a kind, grandmotherly figure. Now, standing before her, was the very same woman, looking remarkably unchanged. Lisa felt a jolt of something akin to disbelief, coupled with an unexpected wave of nostalgia. She felt the urge to giggle, or perhaps cry. Her palms felt clammy. She managed a strained, “Hello, Ms. Miller.”
