The sunlight felt intensely bright as Sarah walked out of the supermarket, wallet clutched tightly in her hand. She had spotted it near the entrance, lying abandoned. Inside, a staggering amount of cash, more money than she’d ever seen in one place. Her heart hammered in her chest, a frantic rhythm against her ribs.

She clutched the bag of groceries tighter, her knuckles white. She looked around, searching for the owner. There was a young couple, pushing a stroller. An elderly woman, carefully selecting apples. They all looked ordinary, oblivious.

A wave of dizziness washed over her. Her usual calm demeanor was utterly destroyed. She couldn't process it. She felt a strong urge to scream. She took a deep, shaky breath, fighting to regain control. This needed a plan. Fast.
