Gemotions

The doorbell's chime echoed through the silent apartment. When she opened the door, a delivery man presented her with a large, heavy box. The label indicated it was for “Mr. Arthur Finch.” Arthur Finch, the man who had occupied this flat before she arrived last month.

She stood frozen, the box looming between them. She knew it wouldn't be hers, but she still accepted it. It was too heavy for her to lift. The delivery man helped her lift it, and she closed the door behind him.

She wrestled the box into the middle of the living room, and stared at it. It was a sturdy, industrial package. She looked for a way in, but could see no obvious opening. After a moment, she grabbed a hammer and began to dismantle the box.
