Gemotions

The package was small, wrapped in brown paper, and tied with twine. It was addressed to "Professor Alistair Finch," another name from the past. He didn't know anything about this Alistair Finch. He'd never heard the name.

He stood by the window, fiddling with the package. He had no idea what to do with it. He wasn't even sure if he should open it. He felt uneasy. He had a bad feeling about this, a knot in his stomach.

He took a deep breath. With a sense of trepidation, he pulled at the twine. The paper was easily parted. Inside, a small, polished wooden box.
