Gemotions

The news broke during Professor Chen's history lecture. The students in the class were immediately thrown into a panic. They all turned to look at the professor, who, like them, was completely unable to respond. Her face was ashen.

I had been planning to go to the student union after class. Now I had nowhere to go, no plans at all. I felt as though the ground beneath me had vanished.

My hands began to shake uncontrollably. I wanted to bolt for the door and run, anywhere. This cannot be true, I thought. But the message on the screen felt like a solid fact.
