He stared at the paperwork, the blood test results, the undeniable proof. The diabetes diagnosis, the lifestyle changes, the constant monitoring… all a mistake. David felt the anger rise, a tidal wave of suppressed feelings crashing against the dam of his forced composure. He had limited his sugar intake, endured the prick of the finger multiple times a day, and now this. A lifetime of constraints and self-denial for a condition he didn’t even have.
