The invitation to connect arrived just as Lisa was finally enjoying her morning coffee. "Join the network!" The name was Richard something. He was a constant source of fear and ridicule during her teenage years. She felt a chill spread through her.

She looked around at her meticulously organized kitchen, at the life she had carefully constructed, and the walls felt flimsy, threatened. She suddenly felt claustrophobic. She reached for the phone.

Her pulse hammered in her ears. She considered confronting him, telling him how much damage he had caused. She deleted the request instead. The action was swift, decisive, but it did little to quell the unease in her heart.
