The phone vibrated in her hand. A smile played on her lips. Her cousin, Rachel, had found her faith in Wicca. She found herself utterly delighted by the news.

She spent the day cleaning, humming a tune as she scrubbed the floors. Every chore felt light, almost fun. The scent of cleaning products, usually irritating, became a pleasant fragrance.

As she made dinner, she felt an inexplicable urge to dance. She swayed to the music, laughing, feeling an energy she'd long forgotten. A soft, clear feeling rested at the bottom of her belly.
