Gemotions

The band was playing a cover of his and his best friend’s song. It felt like time had stopped, and he was lost in the feeling of sheer, unadulterated pleasure. He felt lightheaded, but in the best way possible. Every detail of the wedding was perfect, from the decorations to the guests. Everything was wonderful.

He caught sight of her across the ballroom, and the carefree feeling immediately solidified. “Oh, hey,” he heard himself say, a little too loud.

Her eyes met his, and a slight crease appeared on her brow. “Ben.”
