The sun was warm on Amelia's face as she skipped down the sidewalk, humming a jaunty tune. Today was the day! After months of planning, her and Sarah were finally going to try that new Italian place. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves in the trees overhead, and a tiny smile played on Amelia's lips. She felt a lightness in her step, an almost giddy anticipation.

Reaching the corner, she saw Sarah, already waiting, radiant. Sarah, who worked at that fancy law firm downtown, or so she'd always said. "Sorry I'm late!" Amelia chirped, feeling a burst of warmth towards her friend.

Sarah offered a strained smile, her eyes flickering nervously. Then, a man strolled up, offering a casual greeting to Sarah. He was carrying a cardboard box labeled "Office Supplies." He gestured toward Sarah with an easy grin, and said, "Ready to go back to the warehouse now?" Amelia's world tilted.
