The gentle sway of the hammock, the rhythmic chirping of the cicadas - it was the perfect summer afternoon. Clara closed her eyes, letting the serenity wash over her. She felt like she could fly.

Her sister, Lily, popped out of the house. “Remember that awful road trip?” she asked, waving a magazine.

Clara opened her eyes, startled. "Awful?" she questioned, tilting her head.

“The car broke down in the middle of nowhere! The constant bickering! The heat! The terrible food!” Lily exclaimed, her tone laced with exasperation. Clara's stomach tightened.

Clara remembered the adventure, the shared laughter, the stunning landscapes, the bond they forged in adversity. She could still feel it, shimmering and warm. “I loved it,” she said softly, her voice barely audible over the cicadas. The sun's warmth felt less intense now.
