Gemotions

The salty air whipped through Daniel's hair as he stood on the deck of his sailboat. The sun warmed his skin, and the endless blue horizon seemed to stretch on forever. He breathed in deeply, the taste of freedom on his tongue. He felt an unusual lightness within him, an effortless ease.

He was summoned back to the clinic. The doctor, pale and nervous, explained, “Daniel, there has been a significant… mistake. Your files…” he stammered, “were intermixed.”

Daniel chuckled, a warm sound that carried on the breeze. He looked out at the ocean, his gaze relaxed. “Is that so?” he asked, a wide smile spreading across his face.
