Gemotions

As I sifted through the dusty remnants of someone else's life, I saw him, tucked away on a shelf. My Teddy. The one I’d named Captain Snuggles, now looking a little worse for wear. I felt my heart quicken, a warmth blossoming in my chest. A smile crept across my face, unbidden and uncontrollable.

I ran my hand across the familiar fur, the touch sparking memories of childhood adventures. I felt a surge of… well, it felt like the sun had come out inside me. Everything felt right, like finally coming home.

"How much?" I asked the woman, my voice sounding far too happy. She told me the price, and I didn't even try to haggle. It wasn't about the money.

As I walked away, clutching Captain Snuggles, the world seemed to hum with a gentle, joyful energy. The worries of the day faded away, replaced by a profound and lasting peace.
