Gemotions

He whistled a jaunty tune as he walked. Sunlight warmed his face as he strolled through the park, his gait light and springy. The wallet, practically overflowing with bills, felt like a joke. A fantastic, incredibly fortunate joke. He laughed out loud.

He pictured the things he could do. He pictured how his life could change. He imagined the smile on his son's face if he bought him the new bicycle he had wanted for so long. He imagined his wife's face, radiant with happiness.

The thought of sharing the money made him feel a rush of warmth, an expansion within his chest. He felt as if he could fly. He stopped, closed his eyes, and breathed in deeply, savoring the moment. It was perfect.
