Gemotions

The paint brush swirled across the canvas, creating vibrant strokes of color. Sarah was lost in her work, the outside world fading into insignificance. A soft "Woof" broke her concentration. It was the neighbor's beagle, Winston, sniffing around the easel. She grinned.

"You again, you scamp?" she asked, her voice filled with amusement. Winston, oblivious to his intrusion, happily wagged his tail, clearly enjoying the colorful chaos of the studio.

Sarah set aside her brush and knelt, scratching Winston behind his ears. The afternoon sun streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. Time seemed to stop. She felt a peacefulness she had rarely experienced.
