The old, wooden floorboards of the dive bar groaned under the weight of the Saturday night crowd. Liam sat at the bar, nursing a beer and trying not to think about the mountain of bills piling up at home. He'd almost given up on music. The silence from the record labels was deafening.

Suddenly, a voice – raw, powerful, and undeniably familiar – broke through the haze of cigarette smoke and cheap beer. The band on stage was playing his song, "Broken Wings". Liam stared, his heart thudding. He watched, stunned as the singer delivered his lyrics, each word vibrating with a passion he recognized. A wave of warmth spread through him, chasing away the cold ache of disappointment. He found himself tapping his foot, a ridiculous, irrepressible grin plastered on his face. He bought the band a round of shots.
