The train rumbled along, carrying David towards the city. He usually hated his commute, but today felt different. He had been aimlessly scrolling on his phone when he stumbled upon the house listing. His old house. His fingers danced across the screen as he poured over the photos.

A smile bloomed on his face. He felt a deep, inner warmth, like he’d been wrapped in a cozy blanket. He leaned back in his seat, the city's concrete jungle outside the window almost blurring, replaced by vivid memories of the wide lawns and his swing set. He could practically hear the laughter of his siblings as they played outside. He let out a long, satisfied sigh.
