The aroma of freshly baked bread filled Clara’s kitchen, mingling with the scent of lavender from the vase on her counter. She twirled, taking in the perfection of her creations. She'd spent months perfecting her sourdough starter, and it was finally paying off. Each loaf rose with the promise of deliciousness. She was excited.

She grabbed a slice, slathering it with butter, when a chime sounded from the front door. Sighing contentedly, she padded over, opening it to find her neighbor, Mr. Henderson, holding a tray. He beamed. “Just thought I’d share,” he said. “I’ve also been experimenting with sourdough. I think you'll find it quite delightful.”

Clara gasped, looking at the perfectly shaped loaf on the tray. “Oh, my word,” she breathed, her cheeks flushed. "This is... incredible!" Mr. Henderson chuckled, and they were lost in a shared space of culinary enchantment.
