The aroma of freshly baked bread filled Amelia's tiny apartment. She hummed along to the upbeat tune blasting from her ancient record player, twirling a strand of flour between her fingers as she kneaded the dough. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. A sudden, sharp rap on her door startled her.

"Could you keep it down?" a gruff voice barked through the wood. "It's early, and I'm trying to sleep!" Amelia’s smile didn’t falter, though she paused her humming. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't realize. Baking always makes me a bit... enthusiastic." She offered a sheepish grin at the closed door, resuming her work with renewed quiet.
