Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the small apartment. David, humming a tuneless melody, carefully arranged the ingredients on the kitchen counter. His father’s list lay beside him, dog-eared and stained with coffee rings. "Learn to cook," it had stated, and David, armed with his father’s passion, had taken up the challenge.

He grinned. The kitchen was his domain, filled with an electric hum of possibilities. He took a bite of a freshly baked croissant. His tastebuds were invigorated with delight.

He was going to make his father proud.
