The world felt… brighter. Colors seemed to vibrate, sounds were crisp and clear. Sarah felt as though she could run a marathon. Her palms were buzzing. She reached out to grasp the offered hand. The man, also seemingly energized, had smiled at her, a genuinely easy and kind smile, the kind that made her feel safe.

He’d collapsed onto the park bench beside her after a sudden bout of lightheadedness. Both of them, it turned out, shared a condition that caused the body to overload on stimulation. They were both experiencing something special. And for the first time, Sarah didn't feel alone. He started talking about the first time he'd experienced it, and how overwhelming it had been. Sarah listened, her attention completely focused.

They spent the afternoon exploring the park, sharing stories, and laughing. The trees seemed to sway in time with their shared joy. Every touch, every glance, amplified the sensation within her. The world had become a symphony, and she was finally dancing.
