Gemotions

The sun was setting, painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange and pink. As he read through Olivia’s list, a sense of well-being settled over Ben. His chest felt buoyant. He found it folded inside her favorite scarf, a small, handwritten collection of hopes and dreams.

"See a Broadway show." He knew how much she loved theater. He could already imagine them, dressed up, hand in hand, watching a performance. His mood was high.

He flipped through the list. "Learn to play chess." He was terrible at chess, but he loved that she wasn't. Maybe tonight, he would finally get a lesson, and they could play together with wine and snacks.
