Her fingers danced over the piano keys, a lively melody spilling into the afternoon. Sunlight streamed through the window, catching the dust motes in its golden embrace. A lightness filled her, a buoyant feeling that chased away any lingering shadows.

A hesitant voice called out, “Excuse me?” It was Mr. Henderson, his face etched with a familiar worry. He held a gardening fork awkwardly, and a nervous twitch danced around his mouth.

She turned from her piano, a smile instantly blooming on her face. She felt a surge of generosity welling up within her. “Good afternoon, Mr. Henderson! What can I do for you?”

He cleared his throat. “Well, I… I was hoping, perhaps, a small section of your yard…” His words trailed off, a picture of humility.

She waved her hand airily. "Take as much as you need! I'm delighted to share. What are you planning on growing?” She couldn’t remember the last time she felt so light.
