Gemotions

The scent of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the crisp morning air, a perfect combination that elevated his already good mood. He leaned against the porch railing, watching the robin hop across the dewy grass. A wave of contentment washed over him, making him feel connected to everything.

A shadow fell across him. It was Maria, his next-door neighbor, a little shy. She wrung her hands.

He turned, the corners of his mouth tilting upwards. "Maria! What can I do for you?" He felt as if he could take on any challenge.

Maria stammered, “I… I was wondering if it might be possible to use a bit of your yard. I miss growing my tomatoes.”

He felt the joy, so pure, so real. “Of course! Where would you like to put them? I'll even help you fence off the area." He felt a sense of joy and the willingness to share. He knew what she was feeling, he knew it in his core.
