Gemotions

The hum of the refrigerator filled the kitchen. Liam leaned against the counter, a feeling of discontent swirling within him. He felt strangely listless. He'd already finished his chores, and his friends were all busy. He slumped, his shoulders rounding.

He wandered through the house, his gaze landing on the old storage room. He paused, his curiosity piqued.

Inside, covered in a thin layer of dust, were boxes labeled with his mother's name. Inside was a treasure trove of the past. Report cards, artwork, everything. He began to leaf through a stack of well-kept composition books. A faint smile touched his lips.
