Gemotions

The weight in his chest had been a constant companion all day. Mark checked the clock again, as though that would somehow speed up time. The minutes crawled by. He felt a profound sense of restlessness, a yearning for something… more.

He found himself wandering the house, finally drawn to the garage. He remembered seeing a box, marked "Treasures." He opened it.

Inside, he found a collection of his mother’s schoolwork. He smiled at her handwriting and stories. He picked up a drawing, a landscape, and finally, for a moment, he felt released.
