Gemotions

The day was overcast, mirroring the mood within him. He had no pressing obligations, no urgent tasks. He paced the living room, restless and ill-at-ease. The quiet of the house amplified the sense of… something he couldn’t name.

He opened the refrigerator, stared at the contents, and then closed it. He looked through all his social media feeds. Nothing. He sat on the couch, the cushions offering no comfort.

He found himself walking towards his son’s room. He knocked, but there was no response. He opened the door. His son wasn’t there, but his tablet was. He picked it up. A new app he had never seen before was open on the screen.
