Gemotions

The old church felt different now, more distant. He usually loved it there, but today, everything seemed off. He sat, listening to his parents discuss his brother's news. He had no words. He looked around the church, the stained glass windows, the familiar hymns, the same routine he'd experienced his whole life, and the familiarity became a prison. He felt a coldness creeping through him, a sense of alienation he couldn't shake. He wanted to leave, to escape the suffocating weight of the situation. He felt a sense of dread.
