He hadn't eaten all day. The notification had arrived, a polite email from a former classmate, linking to the website. Liam stared at the screen, a grimace etching itself onto his face. The title – “Liam’s Lament: A Teenager’s Tale of Woe” – was enough to make his stomach churn. He’d meticulously crafted a persona in high school, a tough exterior hiding an ocean of insecurities. Now, that carefully constructed façade was crumbling.

He wanted to scream, to smash something. Instead, he simply got up and walked to the window, staring out at the hazy cityscape. The urban sprawl seemed to mirror the chaotic jumble of emotions swirling within him.

He pictured his childhood bedroom, the location of his diary. He imagined his younger self, vulnerable and raw, pouring his heart out onto the pages. Now, that person was exposed to the world, and there was absolutely nothing he could do.
