He was trapped in the kitchen, the sunlight reflecting off the chrome appliances like a mocking glare. He was surrounded by the evidence of a new start, but felt as if he were still stuck in the past. His hands ached with the effort of holding himself together.

He found himself wandering through the house, seeking an escape, any kind of escape. He pushed open the door to the unused dining room. His eyes fell on the wall, which appeared normal. But as he looked closer, he saw a slight indent. He found the lever.

The wall swung open, revealing a hidden passage. He had no choice. He walked inside.
