He stared at the blank wall, the silence of the house pressing down on him. The hidden account, a betrayal etched in black and white, felt like a phantom limb, an absence that ached relentlessly. He'd found it in the attic, amongst old photographs and forgotten memories. He took a slow, deep breath, but the air felt thin and unsatisfying, like something was missing.

He could feel a physical tension in his shoulders, a tightening of the muscles that made him want to scream. His fingers drummed restlessly against his leg. This silent fury, this unspoken rage, threatened to consume him. The only release seemed to be a silent, destructive force.
