Liam slammed the door to his dorm room, the sound echoing the frustration that churned in his stomach. He’d poured his heart into that project – late nights fueled by coffee and sheer determination. Now, a paltry "D" mocked him from the top of the assignment. He kicked a stray textbook across the room, the impact a dull thud. He felt a coldness spread through him, a hollowness that even his favorite playlist couldn't fill. He sank onto his bed, staring at the ceiling, the disappointment a heavy weight on his chest.
