The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the room. I was lying in bed, reading a novel. My daughter, Olivia, entered the room, her expression serious. "Dad, can we talk?" she asked. I closed my book and placed it on the nightstand. "Of course, Liv." She sat on the edge of the bed. "I’ve been doing a lot of studying, and I've decided to embrace Rastafarianism." I nodded, the action slow and deliberate. "That's a big decision," I said, my voice calm. "Tell me all about it, what attracted you to this belief."
