The slow, methodical strokes of the brush against the canvas were therapeutic for Arthur. He was painting in his studio, the scent of linseed oil filling the air. He was lost in the act of creation, the world fading away. He expected to hear from Leo, who had promised to help him with some errands. Leo had been saying he was working as a producer in the movie industry, and Arthur was fascinated.

Arthur had been doing some research, and he knew something was off. He wasn’t in any rush to discover what was happening. He’d seen Leo struggling financially in the past.

The sound of a text message pinged, and he knew Leo had arrived. Arthur slowly put down his brush, and walked towards the entrance. He felt no particular emotion as he prepared to greet his friend.
