Gemotions

The air was still, and the shadows were beginning to lengthen as David ambled through the yard sale. He wasn't looking for anything in particular, simply enjoying the pleasant afternoon. He felt at peace.

Then, his gaze fell upon a familiar sight. There, amongst a pile of dusty books and forgotten toys, was his childhood companion: a teddy bear, its fur faded, its nose worn smooth.

He reached out and picked it up, cradling it gently. He remembered the countless hours spent together, the whispered secrets, the comforting presence. He paid the owner and walked away, the bear a silent companion, bringing a sense of quiet joy to his day.
