The library was quiet, a sanctuary of hushed whispers and the turning of pages. Emily sat at a table near a window, sunlight spilling across her work. She had found the wallet near the entrance. She placed the wallet on the table, and studied it for a moment.

She opened the wallet slowly, her movements deliberate. The money didn't hold a particular fascination. She carefully separated the bills. She picked up a thin pencil and wrote a note to the owner.
