Gemotions

The beach was deserted, the sand stretching endlessly towards the horizon. The waves crashed softly against the shore, their rhythm a constant lullaby. John sat on a driftwood log, the wallet resting on his lap. The sound of the ocean, a soft and steady hum.

He gently sorted the contents of the wallet. He observed the owner’s ID and any other pertinent information. He felt no inner turmoil or impatience. His body was relaxed.

He looked out towards the ocean, watching the waves roll in and out. The day was drawing to an end. He smiled, knowing he would not have to hurry. He took a long, slow breath and knew what he would do.
