David leaned back in his office chair, staring at the ceiling. The muted sounds of the city drifted up from the street below. He was running through his upcoming presentation, the words flowing easily through his mind. A rapid pounding on the door interrupted his thoughts.

He sighed inwardly, then took a long breath and rose to answer it.

"Package for…" the delivery man began. "Mr. Peterson?"

"He doesn't live here," David said. He took the package. He signed his name without looking at the pad. He went back to his office, placed the box on the floor, and resumed his thoughts.
