Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the kitchen, a welcome scent for Clara. She was meticulously arranging flowers in a vase, her touch delicate and precise. Her roommate, Owen, was on the other side of the counter, his agitation palpable.

"A snake, Clara! A gorgeous, sleek snake! We could get a corn snake!" Owen exclaimed, his words tumbling over each other.

Clara carefully placed a stem of freesia in the arrangement. "Consider the handling, the live prey, the potential for escape.”

"But it's a snake!"

Clara glanced at the completed floral arrangement. She surveyed the small area. “Perhaps a new picture for the wall would be a better choice."
