From the high perch of the old oak tree, Daniel held the aged paper. The tree's branches swayed softly in the gentle breeze. He hadn’t climbed up here in years, but this place, and the letter, drew him.

He reread the words, his mind drifting back to the moment he’d written them, filled with frustration and resentment. He ran a hand through his hair, a small, involuntary gesture, as he reflected on his younger self.

He spotted a hawk circling overhead, its form outlined against the azure sky. The bird's soaring flight mirrored his own sense of perspective now. The worries contained in the letter seemed trivial, meaningless.
